New Glasses :]

Hey all so...

yesterday was a great great day :] my parents came down and i got my new glasses! here is a pic of them!

Yes i know im a dork....lol but i hope everyone likes them cuz i wouldn't want to walk around with ugly glasses!

well anywho after that we went apartment looking for next fall semester and im going to live in Mandalay Apartments here are some pics of them! They are really really nice!

We also went and saw 21, half of it i didn't understand cuz i dont understand gambling but over all it was a really good movie! Also the guy in it was freaken sexy :D lol! Other than that it was just a regular good day!

Grandma Jean

(Doris Jean Robbins Horton)

Jean Robbins was born on December 31 1935 in Illinois to Frances Marie Hall and Hugh Kenchen Robbins. She grew up in Virden Illinois with all her sisters and her brother. They had a few farm animals and well she hates milk and wont drink it unless its canned milk :] Her mom died when she was in her teens and so her sister Toots took care of all the kids and they moved and ended up in California where she finished going to school. She met David Horton and got married and had one little boy named David Lee Horton. She was all about being a mom and is still really close with "Davey"(my dad) My grandma jean is not only my grandma but one of my best friends! I love to spend time with her cuz she is sooo funny and always laughing! When i was little she was the "other kid" that would play with me in the restaurant and goof off when we weren't supposed to! :] I remember one time i was staying over at their house and she made me my favorite kind of oatmeal and let me set up the little table in the living room! I was so shocked that she let me eat in the living room but she was just cool like that! haha! I know i can talk to my grandma jean about anything and she will always listen and help! She is one of my hero's also and i hope that i can be like her someday! She is so so creative with everything and always doing something fun and creative! She also loves to shop and so do i so we have a blast when we go shopping! One time we went to payless (her favorite shoe store) and well there was a sale on flip flops i think we ended up buying like altogether six pairs of flip flops! She also gives the best hugs! They are my favorite :D Grandma I love you! And I'm so freakin grateful for you and i hope you know that and how much i look up to ya! I hope i can be as giggly as you are for the rest of my life!

Papa Arvil

Ok so today was overall a very good day :] not much to talk about so I'm gonna do another Spotlight on:

Papa Arvil

(Arvil Loran Jones)

Arvil Loran Jones was born May 23, 1916 in St. George Utah to Mary Hatch and Loran Jones. He went to school in St. George tell he was 13 and then his family drove the long trip to California. He played the trombone and loved it! He also had a paper route that he rode on his bike every morning. He had some funny stories that he would tell about his "Newspaper days". He worked in many jobs such as, the movies, and even helped build the first space shuttle! He also served in World War II in Guadalcanal and later wrote a book about it called "Forgotten Warriors". He Marred Lulu Walton and had three beautiful children, Ray, Kenny, and Kathy. He worked all his life but his one getaway was his garden. He loved to raise plants and just watch them grow they were his kids haha. They later moved to Kanab where he also had a garden and could grow anything. He had a tree that he had planted six years after ours and it was still bigger! He loved his grand kids and would always want to give them a big smack(kiss)on the cheek :]. All his family knew that he loved them. Sadly he died on August 26 2002 and was buried in kanab Cemetary. I miss him so gosh dang much! I love my Papa Arvil he always let me know that he loved me and whenever i was feeling bad he could cheer me up. He was so smart but he never thought he was. He is also one of my hero's and i am so honored that i got to know him and that i am his grand daughter. I have so many good memories with my papa arvil but the one that stands out is when i was about four he was babysitting me and he wanted to eat some ice cream well he didn't want anyone to know that we were eating it so he told me to keep it a secret and so he sat me on the counter in front of the window and we ate so much ice cream. When we were done the ice cream was half gone but he still had to smooth it down so that no one would know that we had ate it. I love ya grandpa and i cant wait to see you again someday!

Provo: the couple capital of the world

ok so i went to....

provo this weekend

&

it will literally go down as one of the worst weekends of my life wanna know why?

(im sure u dont.....but if u dont just skip down to where i name the good things in my life)

1. i was a tagalong: why? well Sarah was just planning on going but she couldn't just go by herself cuz her parents would let her go alone so i was like what the heck ill go.


2. Every where i looked people were in couples: this was not a good time for me to be seeing everyone paired up cuz well it just hasnt been a good week.


3. Sarah and Mandy went on their date on Saturday night and well i thought i would go shopping while they went thinking their date would start at seven. I was actually really excited about going shopping. So i went at seven well turned out the date didn't start tell ten so by the time i had got finished shopping they hadnt started the date so i went and saw 27 dresses which was not a good movie to see alone cuz it was all about a girl and how shes all alone. So then i drove around provo looking for pie cuz i really wanted some, do u think i could find pie anywhere? no of course not! I was gonna go to ihop but there were tonz of college people there and i didn't really want to go in there alone so i didn't get pie and then i went up to the temple and sat it was good for me though i needed to do that for a long time, and then went home...all alone....


4. I locked my keys in my car: So then to top off the whole "wonderful" weekend i locked my keys in my car...so i had to call AAA to come open my car for me...

So there is why my weekend was horrid! Im so glad its monday(never thought i would say that)tomorrow!

So since i named why my weekend was horrid i should put some good things that happened to me

1. I went shopping: I got to spend money on myself and get some new spring clothes! I got some really really cute shorts they are super cute and a few shirts which were all on sale!


2. I got to listen to conference: This time it was really really good :] i enjoyed it and was able to focus that is amazing for me haha


3. Met up with Mandy: I got to meet up with Mandy Carter and have lunch with her :] you know its crazy we go months without talking but everytime we get together its like we never left eachother! Plus it was good to hear her call me Kay no one calls me that anymore cept her. I wish they would though


4. Ate at Cafe' Rio: I love this place its so yummy to my tummy! Love Love Love it haha :D


5. Saw a move: i know this was on my bad list but it really was such a cute movie if anyone has the chance to see it im serious do its awesome twentyseven dresses :] its a buyer!


6. walked on the temple grounds: I love to walk on the grounds of the temple it doesnt matter what temple it just feels so peaceful and awesome! I luv it :D

So ya there is my weekend take it as you may as for me im really happy that its monday tomorrow and that i get to start a new week...even if i do have tonz of homework cuz finals are in three weeks but ya SUMMER BABY :]

so nothing has happened.


Tonight last night was really bad but lets not go into that

anyways so im gonna do a spotlight from now on each time i post tonight its going to be on my:

Grandma Lulu

Lulu Walton Jones was born on August 16 1925

She was born in Washington DC to Leon Charles Walton and Katherine Peterson. They later moved to San Diego where she started Elementary school. They lived across from the elementary school on the first day of school she decided that she didn't like school so she ran back home where she met her parents who weren't all that excited. She later moved to Winoka Oklahoma where she graduated. At the age of seventeen she decided to move to California and live with her aunt and work at Lockheed. She later was purposed to three times but only accepted twice. She met my Grandpa Arvil and well as she puts it it was love at first song haha. She knew he was the one when he sung "mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy a kid will eat ivy too wouldn't you?" with her. They then got married in Reno Nevada. They had three kids: Ray, Kenny, and Kathy. She worked as an hospital administrator and got graduated from College after going to night school for a very long time. She now lives in Kanab and is still as busy as she always has been. She has five grandkids: Lisa, Lauren, Kaylie (me), Lindsey, and Josh and a great grandkid on the way. My grandma Lulu is honestly one of my hero's. We are so much a like and i love her sense of humor! She is one of the funniest people i know, and has been and done so much. I'm so grateful that she is in my life and my grandma. I don't think she truly realizes how great of a person she is! I love ya Grandma SO gosh Dang much! Ur the best :)

This is the third time i have tried to post on this dang thing!! But whats said is that its not the computers fault but mine...haha lol




Anywho, i didn't do much today i just worked at the pharmacy-gosh i love those guys i feel so comfortable there!





I love this weather so dang much! I'm wearin shorts as we speak! :] YES!! I love being home its so nice and i cant wait for summer!! I'm doing Courtney Sanfords hair for Fredonias Prom tonight. I hope it looks cute I'm excited, she just called me and asked me to do it :] I'm thinking about hair school but most likely i will do it next summer if i do it at all. I dont want to start now cuz im going to starting on my major in Fall so i think that would be too much. I probably could handle it but i would rather not try haha lol i want to keep all my hair :]


I rode my skateboard today and it was awesome (cept the part where i hit a rock and went flying....haha)


Lets see whats going on with me that's exciting...hmm i know FINALS! HA NO that's not exciting that's more like torture MEH :[

So im sitting here in english bored and completly brain dead! Its too early in the morning. I was at ashleys last night and well we didn't get to bed tell 4 in the morning MEHHHHH!! But anyways i want to be at six flags right now with the music trip! :( they went to wicked and disneyland yesterday gosh i wish i could be with them right now! Idk its just been a lil hard for me (not going to go into detail about it on my blog) anyways so i think im having disneyland withdrawls!! Im so serious! Gosh all i can think about is disneyland! DISNEYLAND DISNEYLAND DISNEYLAND!!! I know i sound so selfish cuz i have been there so many dang times but i just love it so much! It really is my favorite place on earth its like a second home to me! I LOVE IT!! anyways things are good im going home this weekend to work :) ya money!! hey

well its really late and i should be in bed but i just have alot on my mind. So idk if anyone ever reads this or if its more for just me to keep up on what i do,.....even though i have a journal that i write in almost everynight but anywho here i go. Its so crazy how everyone grows up and changes and how everyone is still the same just older. Being with my uncles and cousins this past two days has made me miss all the old times when we would have all our lil get togethers. But it also makes me realize how different you all grow....i think thats the hardest part for me. You know you think of everyone as they were when you were little but everyone changes. Im not saying thats a bad thing its just hard. And then i worry about everyone and everything. Sometimes i feel like i dont act my age and i should and then others i feel like...actually i never feel like i act my age. Its just hard to accept that things happen people change not everyone is going to like you theres going to be heart break and pain and people will lie.....but i think once you grasp that idea you're so much better off because once you do get that you realize that with the change in people comes better, even though not everyone will like you it teaches you patience and to be nice to everyone and stand in their shoes, when you have heart break you then realize how it feels to truely be loved and how much better it feels when its healed. And when you learn that people will lie you learn not to gossip and spread rumors and most of all true trust. You know you're not always going to be happy in life, but i think thats why its so important to cherish the times you are. Sometimes we just let them fly by and worry while they are going on what bad can happen....WE CANT DO THAT! Enjoy the happy times. But also its ok to cry sometimes to let things out. But remember your blessings.
Last of all i just want to say thanks(even though none of them will read it....maybe they will i hope they will) to my friends-
You have all been there for me through everything. Most of you stuck with me through my hardest times, why i dont know, but you did! Thats why i want to say thanks, you all mean so dang much to me, all of you! I look up to all of you, you're all such great people and i hope someday i can be as great as you all are! Really thanks for all the laughs and stupid things that were so worth the time, the crazy pictures, all the silly sleepovers and bus rides! Thanks for comforting me when i was hurt!

So its been a kinda hum drum week i have come to the conclusion that all boys are stupid except family.....I think that they all should be labeled when they are born as stupid! Im also so sick of how they say that they want to be friends but expect you to do all the work!

Its supposed to snow this weekend and if it does i swear i will protest! Yell at the snow from my apartment. We had a kinda girls night tonight with bryttni fox, kayla osborn, ash, me and sarah it was pretty fun, we watched "lucky you" which i would not recommend unless you want to fall asleep or know how to play poker i was lost through the whole thing. I also got the internet on my laptop which is a wonderful thing! I also wore my extensions in my hair today and i got more compliments on them then i do on my real hair thought that was kinda funny. Anyways its 1 in the morning and i still have to write in my journal and read my scriptures and do some homework. What can i say im a nightowl lol thanks to my two grandmas! Just kidding i LOVE IT!! Cali trip

hey all,

So this last week well actually over a week ago on Feb 4th my ggpa(greatgrandpa) died....It was really sad but he was in a lot of pain and now he doesn't hurt anymore. I will for sure miss him and i loved him and still do! We went to the funeral and it was a very good service, it was at forest lawn. It was a long trip down and a long trip back but usually eight hour trips are.....It was really neat however because i got to go through a ton of pictures of my ggma and ggpa! hey all!

So everyone went home this weekend so im pretty much home alone, just my one other roomate stayed, its nice but kinda lonely....oh well i have so much homework its not even funny mahhhhhh........im also going to a gymnastic meet tonight and im SO excited im going with my roomate and her serority sisters, it should be fun! well not much else going on just sitting in my dorm room listening to music so ill talk to ya all later :D

hey!

Sorry i haven't updated in so long! Not much has happened lately cept we got so so so much snow today! me and sarah decided that we wanted to go running around the indoor track and well it was an interesting funny expierence! My car looks like it has a crew cut :D it was really funny and by the end of clearing off my car i could not feel my ankles anymore! It was crazy and i officially hate snow i want to move somewhere where its warm! warm warm warm! AHHHH its so dang cold! anyways life goes on talk to ya all later!

Life is changing so much and it just blows my mind to think of how things that i have always dreamed of are not that far away.....i mean one friend is getting married in may, another is finally leaving for his long awaited mission and im in college! Things i have been waiting for my whole life are not that far away. I dont feel ready for them but at the same time i do....its just crazy how fast life goes and how one min your four sitting on the counter eating ice cream with your grandpa and how its all that matters to being 16 and going to prom and then being 18 and graduating. You know you wait your whole life for these things and dreaming about them and then they come and then are gone.....before you know what happened....im not ready for my life to change i mean honestly im not even sure im ready for it to really start.....oh well i guess there really isn't much you can do and as good as the whole putting rocks on my head to stop me from growing sounds i really think i will just have to accept that my life is never going to be the same but you know what thats ok i mean i have faced things before and got over them like the first time i rode my black boy bike without training wheels( btw grandma jean and papa dave i LOVED that bike! haha) i mean i got over that i came out with a few bruises and cuts but they healed! I know i will get bruised and broken along life but hey isn't that what bandaids are for?! I love all you guys and my family thanks for everything! I LOVE YOU

P.S as for everything else things are great school started im almost done with my general ed classes, we went and saw P.S i love you and it was great except for the fact that i fell afterword in the parkinglot on my butt i can ice skate without falling but walking well i fall note to self dont wear slippers outside in the ice :P
